CheckCalm is a B2B SaaS compliance automation platform that helps businesses prepare for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification. Our platform uses AI to analyze security documents, map them to compliance controls, detect gaps, and generate security policies.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CheckCalm, operated by CheckCalm ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), accessible at checkcalm.com and app.checkcalm.com.
When you create a CheckCalm account, you create a tenant (organization) and become its administrator. You may invite team members who will have access to your organization's compliance data.

You agree not to use CheckCalm to:
You retain full ownership of all documents, policies, and other content you upload or create in CheckCalm ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership over Your Content.
By uploading content to CheckCalm, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and analyze Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.
CheckCalm uses AI to provide compliance analysis, gap detection, and policy generation. Important limitations:

CheckCalm and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CheckCalm and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without explicit written permission.
Your use of CheckCalm is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using CheckCalm, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
CheckCalm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CheckCalm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Any claims must be brought within 12 months of the event giving rise to the claim.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@checkcalm.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Brazil, with one arbitrator per party. The arbitration shall be conducted in English.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
You may terminate your account at any time via account settings or by contacting support. Termination takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
